COVID-19 Measures

Dear DDRS2021 Participants,

On this page we would like to summarize the most important rules and regulations which are currently valid and available regarding your travel to Hungary as well as the conditions of participation in a meeting or event organized in Hungary.

Please be so kind as to have a look at these links and documents, but it is also important that you are aware of the regulations and restrictions of your home country, because you might be allowed to come here, but the rules of your home country may have more rigorous travel restrictions.

We call you kind attention that it may well be possible to enter Hungary with a negative COVID-19 PCR test, but PARTICIPATION IN A CONFERENCE IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT BEING VACCINATED AND/OR BEING ABLE TO PRESENT THE REQUIRED IMMUNITY CERTIFICATE. So this means that presenting a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test is not sufficient! Please make sure that you devote ample time to examine and read all content herein, and get acquainted with all necessary details you may need to conform, if you wish to travel to Budapest and participate in DDRS2021 Conference.

Our suggestions:

  • to make a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test preferably 48 hours before your travel to Hungary. (for Hungary it is 72 hours, but other transit countries or airline companies may ask for a negative test made within 48 hours)
  • to make a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test before leaving Hungary, because a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test may have to be presented when you return to your home country (or in transit countries), so please check these measures
  • to possess full travel insurance which are valid for insurance claim caused by COVID-19 related incidents
  • to check all measures of your local authorities related to travel to Hungary BEFORE purchasing your airplane ticket or visa
